Girl’s Anti-GBV Workshop At School

A workshop for girls within the Anti-GBV (Gender-Based Violence) club focusing on the empowerment of girls’ self-defense, healthy relationships, and awareness about GBV issues that are so rampant among girls and women in our contemporary societies, especially the patriarchy-based societies.

Raising awareness, recognizing warning signs of abuse, building self-esteem, and building self-confidence.

Training them for self-defense techniques and how to report violence issues to the respective places.

The workshops at learning institutions are so helpful because they normally create a safe space for discussion, education, and skill-building to empower girls and help prevent GBV.

Violence Prevention Workshop

I conducted a workshop with Arusha University students during the 3rd Annual Summit of Civil Societies.

Training students as peer educators who can then pass information about violence prevention within their communities and to other youth through their gatherings and different social media.

Focusing on educating youth about the root causes of violence against women and girls its impacts on individuals and communities, and strategies for prevention and intervention.

Advocating For Victim Counselling Support

Advocating the importance of counseling to victims of Gender-Based Violence at Savvy FM Radio.

Counseling empowers survivors by helping them regain a sense of control over their lives and enables them to identify their strengths, build resilience, and become new versions of themselves, regaining their autonomy and living happily free from stigma and trauma from community members.

Survivors need to connect with legal aid organizations that will make sure that the right of the survivor is well observed and the perpetrator faces the law accordingly, by this the survivor feels protected and valued.
